There are many controversies over determining ones motives, if someone is truthful, and even if they have salvation, yet in all of these there is one thing in common, they are all determined by what we as humans flawed and misunderstood can see or measure. I count these as not only void, but a greater destructive vice of our own doing.
It is my intention to counter these ideas and beliefs, and provide what I hope as a very reasonable and valid understanding for all of these flawed ideas.
To begin; there is a saying that you cannot trust what ones says you have to look at what they do for who they are really. Contesting this, I do not believe anyone 'always' says or does the things that they like or that define who they really are. Besides who is always around one person all the time? Who has access to their raw thoughts and emotions all the time? No person on earth. So how can we say that it's simply by either word or actions that we can determine who someone truly is? Many people go through rough times, busy seasons of life, periods of growth save change, such times are filled with moments when we will not represent ourselves in a very clear or consistent manner. In fact, in a season of growth and changes from one month, week, or day to the next week may not be recognizable, but this does not change whether we are good or bad, evolution can be either, helpful or harmful.
In similar understanding, among the followers of Christ, and that hold the belief of salvation there seems to be a almost unspoken controversy regarding, how one obtains salvation. Typically involves 3 different vital beliefs; 1. We are saved by works, 2. We are saved once we are baptized, 3. We are saved by grace through faith. These are all backed by scriptures in the Biblical Canon, yet it is for this reason, I believe they are all true, yet not the focus, the point any one should be striving to prove or do in their lives. Because if we hold these statements and instructions as truth along with the rest of the word of God, we will also instantly refer to the prophets word given to him by God, lean not on your own understanding.
All of these beliefs are a measure are a means that we as flawed and sinful creatures can determine ourselves, if someone is sincere and so that we can tell someone if they are saved. By what measure was King David's actions more true to who he was than his words and songs praising and loving God when he was living in a cave with assassins looking to kill him? Where in the bible does God determine the good and evil of the world by the things we see and what we do alone?
David all the sins and wrongs he committed was still a man after God's heart. The very instructions that Jesus, the Son of God, bestowed upon the earth, was that there is nothing we as sinful lives can do to enter the throne of God, but if you read the scriptures as a child seeking to know their brother, to understand their Father, you will see that the truth of who someone is, will not be shared simply by their words, it will not be instilled in every act they perform, even the apostles found themselves unworthy in the sight of God though they lived to proclaim his love to the world.
The truth of who someone is cannot be seen with your eyes, it cannot be heard with your ears, it cannot be measured within ones life or faith, but just as what it can known is what must be sought. To know the truth of someone, you must know their heart. Not measuring it by your understanding or the world's attributes of good and truthful, for it changes constantly. To know the real person you must seem to know their soul. You must listen with the ears of love, you must see with the eyes of grace, you must know your Father's heart if you wish to know your brothers and sisters. I tell you the truth there are far more heavenly beings among us than there are demons, yet these heavenly hosts must be called out and known.
Seek not the wealth and pleasures of the world, rather seek first the heart of God for He alone will give you peace and joy unending.
