Rewrite Slavery

 ~ The Rewrite Slavery ~

Throughout our lives we are constantly facing multiple historical events that have been rewritten whether due to new evidence or a means to fit an a certain agenda of the current need. For this there are many that call for history to be eliminated, as if it never existed, because we cannot trust the interpretations of various individuals on the most minute details therein swinging the truth like a banana before the apes. For other's the existence is of historical events is a means to move the masses in different directions, while this can be a great resource it usually is underlining with a personal benefit and desire which is not what history tells us happens since the beginning of any narrative. Self benefit by the control of the masses, since the earliest recording of any beginning of mankind, has ultimately led to the early elimination of those that seek it's benefit.

Within these historical events we reclaim the series that highlights slavery. In the earliest stages of slavery it was a respectable form of legally paying of debts that one could not with monetary or bargaining items. Much like a form of collateral, slavery was used to work off the debt as determined by contract and law. Such use of slavery remained until the medieval times when instead it was determined that one person could own another's life, meaning their debt was to great to be paid in one lifetime, yet it was agreed to prior to the contract of trade being binding.

It was not until their was a land with no rule of law that those that were being controlled sought to free themselves, while enslaving others so they in-turn ruled another. Slavery was already present in the known and established lands, but when it came to a land that had no law or even means to enforce law throughout its citizens, slavery became whatever one would make it to be for their own benefit. From this we have come to know American slavery, and to most of the world the worse kind of slavery history has ever known. American slavery was worse than most societies treat their prisoners even American prisoners were and are treated better.

While many other countries abolished slavery the people of America were one of the last nations to do so. It is here that many points must be brought to light and the truth be allowed to set the American people of today free from the events of history. To start simply, the people that wanted to enslave others were Europeans; English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, everyone that came to the new land of opportunity did not leave their old ways behind, rather they brought all of it with them. While the people of their home land soon eliminated slavery, the people in a new land were trying to survive and were set back in comparison.

America was not finished being created as a great nation and land of opportunity when the Constitution was enacted, or the Bill of Rights were signed, it began becoming this great nation when we began standing up for what they read, when men and women sought to free not only themselves, but all from the tyranny and terrorism of oppression. It was at this point we can still see the old European mindset being overthrown, and the American way being born and brought to life for all it's citizens.

We cannot in good faith also forget the only reason slavery ever had a chance to be abolished in the new land, was that there were white men and women that wanted it to change, and not just any white people, but people of great influence. Even before the Civil War mother's and fathers were raising children of all backgrounds that all individuals are created equal, this is the only reason slavery was able to leave the lands of the United States of America. It was not because the slaves decided to fight and overthrow their masters, it wasn't because the masters just decided to change their minds, white men and women fought and died along black men and women, and many others from other nations.

When we rewrite history we should be quick to question it's validity, when we see one person or group benefit from it we should dig deeper to find the reality of such changes. We have one group, very small in real numbers telling the masses to hate the other because of the wrongs of a people that have since been long dead and gone, even their mindset has been not been able to survive, yet this small group wants that anger, that injustice to live on and enslave again. Forgetting that the brothers and sisters in arms, on the battlefield never could see the color of skin beyond the sea of red blood trailing throughout the land, from North to South. Smearing the truth that none of the people today have any concept of slavery, yet try to draw hate from the idea of itself injustice and oppression, laying to waste that all cultures and lands have once accepted and promoted slavery of form or another. Even worse taking away the true existence and passionate oppression of slaves today, among children, women, and men, yet because many turn their eyes to the past they do not and cannot see the slaves in their lives today.

What does hatred today for yesterdays suffering bring, not remorse, not strength, not benefit, not even closure? It brings more suffering, more hatred, destroying opportunity and hope for better change.

What does knowledge and forgiveness for the tyranny and oppression of history bring? It brings hope, passionate activism, extreme progression, and ends the possibility of reliving such times again.

I am not rewriting history with these statements, the recalling of events, nor do I seek any benefit to myself beyond seeing my brothers and sisters throughout the land and world be able to see the colors of our skin, rejoice in and for each other, before we stain ourselves with the red blood of injustice anymore. The reward I seek is not to myself or to any group, background, or land, it is the prize we can all enjoy and celebrate as equals, brothers and sisters through the ages.
