I could give the world, If only you would ask

It is not too much to ask to be given the world

For the world is not what you really want or need

Time is given to us and the world in ways unseen

We are but inhabitants of this entity and the caretakers for which to survive

So is it too much to want the world

If the world is not what you want is it not enough

For God so loved the world that he gave his only son

So that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life

If I were to give you the world what shall you gain

If the world is too much to ask for what am I to you

The essence of deceit, fiery of despair, the mere shallowness of life

You can grant me more than these

I believe in you, am willing to go the distance

Life is but a page in a chapter of a novel

The world is not enough for the greed of human ambition

I am not enough for you

You are not willing to see the potential within

There is a world to be seen

But to be seen it must mean the world to you

I can give you the world

And I will only if you ask it of me
